Joshua received his MSc in Wild Animal Health from the Royal Veterinary College, London. Here he developed an interest in virology and immunology, working on a research project investigating antiviral function and localisation of interferon-induced transmembrane (IFITM) proteins. Prior to this, Joshua obtained his veterinary degree from the University of Sydney.
Joshua is currently undertaking his PhD as a collaboration between The Pirbright Institute and the Royal Veterinary College, London. The project focuses on African swine fever virus (ASFV). This research involves investigating the spatiotemporal pathogen-host interactions during ASFV infection, aiming to uncover vital aspects in understanding the viral infection pathway.
