Press and communications
We work in partnership with the media to help foster greater awareness and understanding of viruses that affect farm animals and those that spread from animals to people and to encourage feedback from the public on our work.
Our scientists and key staff are happy to meet with journalists to discuss interesting areas of research, or to suggest ideas as to how we might participate in media initiatives to bring issues related to research into viruses and its impact into the wider domain.
Information on our scientists, their research areas and their latest published research can all be found on our website.
We are committed to engaging with various stakeholders including students, schools, the public, farmers, collaborators and industry. Our scientists and staff are involved in a variety of public engagement and outreach events to explain more about the work we do, services and training we can provide, and advice on careers in the field of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). View more information on our public engagement activities and events.
