The Pirbright Institute has teamed up with the Veterinary Vaccinology Network and The Jenner Institute where they will be jointly exhibiting in the Activity Tents at the Festival; with an interactive display showing how new vaccines are helping tackle deadly diseases.

Dr Bryan Charleston, Interim Director, CEO and Director of Science, The Pirbright Institute and Co-ordinator of VVN, will be joining Professor Adrian Hill, Director of the Jenner Institute and Professor Andrew Pollard, Director of the Oxford Vaccine Group, to talk about the exciting potential of GM vaccines to eradicate disease, allergies - and even cancer.
Genetically Engineered Solutions: 8.30pm
Professor Luke Alphey, a world-leading virologist from The Pirbright Institute, will discuss the perceptions and realities of GM insects, and how this approach could help control the devastating Zika virus and other diseases.
