Dr Tom Taylor
Thomas Taylor, a.k.a. Tom Taylor, finished a Bachelors in Biochemistry and Neuroscience with Honors at Keele University in 2016. Having an interest in biological sciences, he studied Molecular Parasitology and Vector Biology (with distinction) in 2018 at The University of Salford. Working under the supervision of Stephen Parnell and Katherine Yates, Tom achieved Doctoral status with his thesis titled aptly “The Transferability of Plant Pest Epidemics”. Tom intends to publish a portion of this research in 2024-25. Tom is currently extending his influence at The Pirbright Institute under the management of Simon Gubbins, where he utilises his epidemiological modelling knowledge to assistant primarily in the management of foot-and-mouth disease.
