Lumpy skin disease: eLearning

This course is designed for laboratory staff responsible for implementing diagnostic techniques. However, the courses also include interesting and informative modules of all aspects of LSDV and will therefore appeal similarly to those with a general interest in the virus pathogenicity and clinical disease, epidemiology and control. Like other eLearning courses provided by The Pirbright Institute, this course is prepared in English (UK) and will be available for purchase, with online material accessible.

What you need to know

  • Cost: £75 payable via Paypal, Visa or Mastercard (local taxes will be added where applicable). 
  • Duration: The course is expected to take five hours to complete.  Once purchased, access to the online material is available for 30 days only.

Learning objectives

The course will provide a thorough understanding of current diagnostic techniques for LSDV. In addition, the course will discuss the clinical and pathological signs associated with LSD infection, the current distribution and transmission of LSDV, and molecular characterisation of the virus.

5. Sample dispatch and receipt 40 minutes 4 questions
6. LSD virus detection 30 minutes 4 questions
7. LSD serology 20 minutes 11 questions

A certificate will be awarded to individuals successfully completing all modules of the course.
