Tom Lambeth

Tom is an intern completing his BSc in Biomedical Science with a Year in Industry at the University of Sheffield. 

Alongside Jane Edwards and Daniel Zaki, Tom is establishing methods to detect and localise cell populations infected with PRRSV and those involved in shuttling viral antigen to lymph node follicles using both confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. 

We hope this will lead to a better understanding of how PRRSV is presented to the immune system and the processes that lead to the delay in the neutralising antibody response.
