The Institute’s Dr Michael Baron and Dr Chris Oura have been confirmed as OIE Experts on rinderpest/peste des petits ruminants and African horse sickness/bluetongue, respectively, following the OIE’s 79th General Session in Paris in May,
The Institute is well advanced in the process of appointing holders to 10 new Research Fellowships. These are aimed at enabling outstanding early-stage scientists to develop their own research programme, within the remit of the Institute. The Fellowships, which will be awarded for a maximum of five years, will be held in association with an existing IAH Research Group but the Fellow will be considered to be independent, new investigator. Fellows will be in a position to apply for additional external research grants.
