Providence Cowdrill
Providence graduated in 2022 with a degree in Biomedical Science from Southampton University, having been fascinated by the various fields of biology from an early age.
In her role as Scientific Support Officer for the Non-Vesicular Reference Laboratory, Providence completes a variety of technical and administrative tasks to assist with the daily functioning of the group. She is also heavily involved in the promotion of the NVRL and the organisation of STEM outreach activities on behalf of the laboratory.
She is enthusiastic about using her passion for science and sport to engage with the public and travelled to Rwanda with Cricket Without Boundaries, a charity using cricket to deliver HIV/AIDS health messaging and encourage action on this issue.
Providence has also volunteered at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, assisting with animal care as well as talking to the public about the importance of disease control and conservation.
