Jessica took an interest in science from an early age, particularly in zoology, pathology and molecular biology. She studied sciences at A-level and completed work experience placements with animal rescues and healthcare laboratories. Following this, Jessica completed an integrated master’s degree in biomedical science. During this period, she completed two oncology-based research projects and took part in additional work experience with microbiological testing companies. Alongside her degree, Jessica worked part-time for her university as a sustainability ambassador.
Jessica is also a STEM ambassador and has participated in science events run for the general public, helping to make science accessible and encourage young people to study biology.
