Phoebe graduated with first-class honours from the University of Surrey in 2014 in BSc Veterinary Biosciences before completing a PhD in the Coronavirus Group at The Pirbright Institute supervised by Erica Bickerton. Her PhD project involved investigation into protein modifications in the spike protein of the avian coronavirus infectious bronchitis virus with a view to developing more rational vaccines. In 2018 Phoebe completed a short post-doc as an Innovation Fellow, following on from her PhD research. Phoebe is now a post-doctoral research scientist in the Coronavirus Group as part of the Antibody Hub Project, investigating cross-reactive antibodies against infectious bronchitis virus.
