Festival of Tomorrow is an action packed exploration of the wonders of science, technology and research to share new discoveries and help choose the future we want to see.
Taking place on from 10am - 5pm on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 Febraury at The Deanery CE Academy, Swindon, and also online.
Our scientists will be there all weekend in the UKRI 'Discovery Zone' discussing our ground-breaking viral disease research. We'll be bringing it to life and encouraging people to get involved with our popular ‘Bug Busters’ LEGO exhibit and ‘Viral Survival’ escape puzzle!
Professor Luke Alphey, head of Pirbright's Arthropod Genetics group, will be delivering a talk about his research on the Friday afternoon, entitled 'Re-engineering mosquitoes to fight disease'.
