Innovate Guildford: Science & Arts Festival

Innovate Guildford is a free festival of science and art organised by Guildford Borough Council.

The first festival in 2016 saw over 5,000 people of all ages attend, enjoying exhibits, workshops, talks and performances from the rich diversity of science, technology and arts in the Guildford area. 

Poultry health course

This course is for veterinary surgeons, technical staff and managers from the poultry industry who wish to learn more about the nature, diagnosis and control of infectious diseases of poultry. The course is also suitable for non-specialist graduates who wish to gain a thorough knowledge of the poultry sector while working towards the postgraduate awards in Agrifood.

Transboundary Diseases

23 April, 2018 to 23 April, 2018

This is a laboratory-based course that is designed for technicians who work within a diagnostic laboratory and are responsible for implementing and validating diagnostic techniques. This course is not suitable for research or group leaders.  The course focuses on transboundary disease diagnostic techniques comprising serological, molecular and virological assays, quality assurance and laboratory contingency planning. Applicants should have an understanding of virology and related methodologies.
